Metatrader 5 testing version released

I am very happy to announce you that a new version of the popular charting & trading platform MetaTrader is going to be released soon by MetaQuotes Software Corp. Until the stable version will be available for live trading through various retail brokers, you can get the Beta version of MetaTrader 5 here: http://forum.mql4.com/26550

Thanks to Metatrader 5 blog for providing the news on this release.

I have just installed the Metatrader 5 platform and started to check its new features. I am excited already to find some of the features I’ve been looking for since using the old Metatrader 3, such as multiple time frames: it has 2 hrs charts, 8 hrs, 12 hrs etc!

It also has a lot more indicators in the base version. Feel free to share your thoughts and new features you find useful.

Happy charting!

Liviu

I am really upset with the hardcoding of NFA anti-hedging regulations. How in Gods name will any non-US clients justify using Meta 5 with this ludicrous feature. Will they bend to pressure in order to attract non-US users? No European broker in their right mind with force Meta 5 on any of the clients.

  4. Liviu says:

frankly, MT5 is far from making a real difference over MT4 yet. I'm neutral on the anti-hedging since I never hedge. Moving from MT3 to MT4 on all brokers took about 3 years or so. I expect the same transition time from MT4 to MT5.
